Dark Wood Findings

Mythologies operate in an individual’s mind and societies alike; they depict self-image, cross-cultural views and create potent tensions of changing societies and history. My paintings mix traditional portrait and landscape compositions with new-age color palettes - inspired by the technological revolution. This work engages in a conversation about digital and intrapersonal relationships while revisiting traditional feminine tropes. Dark Wood Findings tells a story of the autonomous dark femme and her wanderings, which often lead to world-changing thresholds.
